Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan runs 3 domain analyses a day and returns the same five-layer dossier as the paid plans, just at a lower daily volume. It is free to use.
How do I upgrade to a paid plan?
Connect Bassethound to your agent, then run the upgrade tool. It returns a Stripe checkout link. Once you pay, your higher limits apply on the very next call, with no reconnect needed.
Do I need an API key?
No. There is no API key to create or rotate. You connect Bassethound through your MCP client, and your plan and limits follow your account. The free tier is free to use.
What counts as one analysis?
One sniff_domain call on one domain returns one dossier and counts as one analysis. Repeated calls on the same domain within the cache window do not re-count.
What happens when I hit my limit?
You get a clear message with an upgrade link. On a paid plan, going over your monthly quota drops you to the free 3 a day for the rest of the period, never to zero.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Billing runs through Stripe and you can cancel anytime. Your plan stays active through the end of the period you have already paid for.
What is the difference between Pro and Business?
Pro is built for a single builder running frequent analyses, around 300 a month, with JS-rendered crawling. Business adds much higher volume, around 2,000 a month, plus the deep profile, monitoring with change alerts, and bulk analysis for teams and production.
