Terms of Service

By using Bassethound (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. The Service is operated by NimbleBrain, Inc. ("NimbleBrain," "we," "us"). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms on its behalf.

What Bassethound does

Bassethound is a stateless remote MCP server exposing a single tool, analyze_domain, which returns a correlated intelligence dossier about a submitted domain, assembled from publicly available information (web pages, DNS, TLS, and well-known files). It is read-only: it analyzes domains and modifies nothing.

Using the Service

  • Free tier. The keyless free tier is offered as-is and is rate-limited. No account is required.
  • Paid tier. Higher limits and depth may require an authentication token and are subject to the plan terms presented at signup.
  • You are responsible for the domains you submit and for your use of the results.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or any third party's rights.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or abuse controls (for example, by distributing requests to evade limits).
  • Use results to facilitate unauthorized access, attacks, harassment, or other harmful activity against any domain or its operators.
  • Resell, redistribute, or represent the raw Service output as your own bulk data product.
  • Overload, probe, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

Nature of the results

The dossier is informational and assembled by automated detection and model-assisted analysis. Detections, scores, and grades are best-effort and may be incomplete or inaccurate. The Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any result. You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them, especially for security, compliance, or commercial decisions. Results are a snapshot in time and reflect only public information.

Availability

We aim for high availability but provide the Service "as is" and "as available." We may change, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue any part of the Service, including the free tier, at any time.

Intellectual property

Bassethound, its software, brand, and mascot are owned by NimbleBrain, Inc. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond use of the Service. You retain responsibility for the domains and inputs you submit.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that results are accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NimbleBrain, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months preceding the claim (or, for the free tier, USD $0).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold NimbleBrain, Inc. harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these terms or applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
