Add Bassethound to Claude

Add Bassethound to Claude as a custom connector, in claude.ai on the web or in Claude Desktop.

Claude talks to Bassethound through a custom connector (a remote MCP server). Here is each surface.

Custom connectors require a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). Exact menu labels move around; if something is renamed, look for Connectors or MCP.

claude.ai (web)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.

  2. Click Add, then Add custom connector.

The Claude connectors Add menu, showing Browse connectors and Add custom connector.

  3. Name it Bassethound and paste the URL:

    https://mcp.bassethound.ai/mcp

Leave Individual sign-in on, then click Add.

The Claude Add custom connector dialog: Bassethound, the mcp.bassethound.ai/mcp URL, and Individual sign-in enabled.

  4. Authorize Bassethound when prompted to sign in. Signing in is what puts you on the free tier; from there Pro raises the limit.

  5. In a chat, open the connectors menu, enable Bassethound, then ask:

    sniff stripe.com

Claude Desktop

  1. Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Paste https://mcp.bassethound.ai/mcp and save, then authorize Bassethound when prompted to sign in.
  3. Restart Claude Desktop if the tool does not appear.
